Our mission at Professional Massage Training Center is to recognize the importance of understanding and integrating the body, the mind and the spirit. We will educate and develop students who will impact the industry with the understanding of ethical regulations, personal development, research based education and professional business practices.
Professional Massage Training Center develops and delivers the highest educational and ethical standards in massage therapy. This can only occur when both teacher and learner are respected as equals.
Our courses balance scientific study with intuitive awareness so that our students learn techniques that support recovery from disease through skilled therapeutic touch and an understanding of self-development.
We believe in personal responsibility and desire to give back to our community through service. We are dedicated to being a place that our students are proud to have attended and the learners of our profession look to as an example of the best our field offers.
Accreditation
PMTC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). Due to the high standards for curriculum, instruction and student success that the ACCSCT sets forth, PMTC is able to deliver to its students the quality of education they deserve.
We are approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). We are also members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA)’s Council of Schools and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
We are certified to operate by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and the Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage.
We are approved as a training facility provided by Vocational Rehabilitation, the Veterans Administration and the Workforce Investment Act.
