Professional Massage Training Center (PMTC), Inc., one of the country's premier massage therapy schools, attended the Commercial Street EPA National Sustainability Pilot Workshop and Community Open House today.

Representing PMTC were director, Juliet Mee and design consultant, Rebecca Elliot. Architect, Robbie Price of Simon Oswald Architects in Columbia, MO, who will oversee PMTC's latest construction project, was represented by structural engineer Ben Jennings of Butler, Rosenbury and Partners.
The workshop and open house were hosted by the City of Springfield's Department of Planning and Development and focused on green value engineering, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) checklist and energy modeling strategies for several Commercial Street construction projects. Consultants with expertise in green and sustainable design were on-hand at the workshop to review plans, discuss opportunities for improvement and make recommendations at no cost to workshop participants.
"Commercial Street is at the heart of Springfield, and PMTC definitely appreciates all the work and support the City has put into revitalizing the area," said Mee. "This workshop provided invaluable insight on how to best accomplish our goal of providing the highest quality facilities for our students, our faculty and staff, and our community and environment. We are excited to begin moving our plans forward and opening our new spa clinic soon."
